Youth representatives of B&H Red Cross took participation at XII Atlantis International Youth Camp in Orahovica
This year's Atlantis camp will be held in the educational center of the Red Cross in Orahovica in Croatia in the period from 21 to 28. 07. 2016 and brings together young people from more than 20 countries of the Mediterranean, organized by the CCM and the CRC. Besides the representatives of the youth of the Red Cross and Red Crescent from Palestine, Turkey, Lebanon, Greece, France, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, the neighboring countries and many others, attend the camp and two representatives of the youth of the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sulejman Midžić and Peter Lakić .
The theme of Atlantis camp: “It is time for a change – youth activities in response to emergencies and building a culture of peace“. Participants of the camp as part of a number of workshops and lectures discuss ways to deal with crisis situations, with a focus on refugee and migrant crisis with which they faced.
In addition to workshops and lectures, participants have the opportunity to get to know the historical and cultural heritage of Croatia, and through intercultural Bazaar familiar culture and traditions of other countries, but also to present the activities of their national Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies from which they come.
